Before setting off by foot to discover the fascinating city of Genoa with all its magnificent architecture, we meet our guide again after breakfast.
Steeped in aeons of history, this is the largest medieval centre in Europe and is a veritable feast for the eyes and for those interested in past events, myths and legends as we wander through the narrow alleyways called `carrugi`which reveal the charm and beauty of this fabled city.
Enjoy the world-renowned `farinata` for lunch, a chickpea-based crepe, or pancake which originated here in Genoa and then became a typical food found all along the Ligurian sea coast.
During the afternoon visit the amazing 33,000 square foot aquarium, the largest in Italy, or visit some of the numerous museums, or go shopping in some of the stunning upmarket boutiques and wander down to the Porto Antico area near the aquarium.
There are endless possibilities and you will be spoilt for choice.

Breakfast at the hotel and meet our guide, before we depart to the beautiful town of Camogli featuring the famous tower houses and the dragon castle.
A boat then transports us to visit the stunning abbey of San Fruttuoso, and then onward to Liguaria's most celebrated town of Portofino.
We leave after visiting the bustling atmosphere of Portofino, filled with exclusive shops and restaurants and head to the equally charming spot- Santa Margherita.
Here you can enjoy a free lunch, amidst this ancient town with its imposing fifteenth-century castle and enjoy visiting Villa Durazzo and the outstanding centuries-old park.
Back at the end of the day in Genoa, you can enjoy a complimentary dinner before returning to your hotel.
Following breakfast at the hotel and meeting your guide, we depart for the magical Cinque Terre by bus, car or train, depending on how many visitors are going.
You will be able to wander through the villages of this world heritage site and enjoy the breathtaking scenery, as you pass pastel coloured homes surrounded by the organic rocky coastline.
This is a trip not to be missed. You will be able to walk through five of these amazing villages-Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia and Monterosso.
You will see the various areas via train or boat, enjoy a complimentary lunch and then back to Genoa and enjoy a free dinner at your hotel.
